Handmade Jewellery

Penny Candy Jewellery features enamel on copper earrings, pendants & pins that are colourful, casual and one-of-a-kind. Each design is created by layering powdered glass onto copper and fusing it with a kiln and/or torch. Inspired by botanicals, seascapes and landscapes, the pieces are playful yet timeless. Some design incorporates repurposed pennies, for a sweet nod to nostalgia.

About me
I have always loved collecting and wearing handmade jewellery. Much of my career was working in an administrative capacity within the creative industries and I was inspired by a variety of artists, particularly those working in 3D.
I began learning jewellery making and metalsmithing attending several Red Deer Polytechnic Summer Series Art Workshops. As well I participated in the Ness Creek forestART ‘tiny shiny’ workshops. I’ve rounded out my hands-on experience taking in several other metalsmithing workshops in Saskatoon and Edmonton. Further to this I find YouTube tutorials to be hugely valuable and informative.
I thoroughly enjoy working with opaque and transparent enamels. The possibilities are endless; many of my designs are one-of-a-kind.
